High class draft sell at Tattersalls

KILTINAN Castle Stud are set to offer a select group of choicely bred fillies and mares for sale at the Tattersalls Breeding Stock sale on Tuesday this week.

Among them is lot 1836, top-class racemare Bible Belt, a Group 3 winner herself in foal to none other than Invincible Spirit, while lot 1835 African Plains is an Oasis Dream half-sister to Classic hope Fair Eva out of Group 1 winner African Rose. She is in foal to Camelot.

There are opportunities to buy into some of the stud’s most successful families with one of these being lot 1785, Susan Stroman. A winning daughter of Monsun, Susan Stroman is out of Group 2-placed Twyla Tharp and a half-sister to champion racemare The Fugue.

Cape Cross continues to make his mark as a broodmare sire and lot 1833 Artisti has already proven herself as a Group producer. A close relation of Mastery, Kirklees and Mukhadram, Artisti is carrying a full sibling to Group 3 winner Magic Artist by Iffraaj.

First up from the draft is Snow Crystal, a daughter of Kingmambo who has already bred a Stakes-performer in Pellucid and who heralds from the wonderful Watership Down family of Crystal Music, Dubai Success and Ocovango. Lot 1834 provides buyers with another route into this remarkable page via Crysdal, a daughter of Group 1 winner Crystal Music in foal to top sire Lope De Vega.

Lot 1781 is the Stakes-placed Dynaformer mare Cable, she herself a half-sister to the top-racehorse and sire Exchange Rate and carrying to the commercial Zoffany. Lot 1782, Arabian Mirage is also in foal to a commercial stallion in Iffraaj, whose stock continue to achieve success both on the racetrack and in the sales ring. Lot 1832 Hint Of Pink is another carrying to the Darley-based sire and she is an unraced half-sister to Stakes performers Pelerin and Masarah.

Lot 1784 is a Dansili mare called Petit Trianon in foal to Australia. This mare is an own-sister to the Listed winner Preferential from the family of Prix de la Foret winner Etoile Montante.

In addition to mares in foal the draft also includes some well-bred fillies, none more so than lot 1873 Palmarola. This filly is a daughter of Sea The Stars and a half-sister to four Stakes performers, the best of them Group 2 winner Policy Maker. Her second dam features Arc hero Peintre Celebre amongst other top horses.

Lot 1873 Prequel is a daughter of Dark Angel and a full sister to Group 2-winning juvenile Alhebayeb and useful sprinter Humidor, whilst our final lot through the ring is Stakes-placed Lawman filly Sagaciously (lot 1874).

Typique sells for €450,000 at Goffs

KILTINAN Castle Stud was responsible for selling one of the leading lots at the two-day Breeding Stock Sale at Goffs last week.

Lot 1360, Typique was knocked down to Broadhurst Agency for €450,000, the sixth top lot of the sale. The daughter of Galileo is out of French Champion two-year-old Denbola from the family of Machiavellian.

Paul Nataf paid €78,000 for Nacre, an unraced Deep Impact mare in foal to Fastnet Rock. This mare is related to Polybius and Freedonia and traces back to Breeders’ Cup hero Domedriver.

Lot 1356 Mare Imbrium was bought by Barry Walters for €45,000 while 1351 Affirmative was knocked down to J Perrotta Agent/ Moran Stables for €40,000. The former is a daughter if Stakes winner Sea Of Showers in foal to Camelot. Affirmative was carrying to Acclamation.

Kiltinan Castle Stud represented at Goffs Breeding Stock Sale

KILTINAN Castle Stud are offering eight fillies and mares for sale at the Goffs Breeding Stock Sale in Ireland on Friday, 18 November.

Among them is lot 1351 Affirmative, a daughter of Group 1 winner Favourable Terms in foal to leading stallion Acclamation. Affirmative has bred two winners to date.

Lot 1352 Nacre offers buyers a rare opportunity to purchase a daughter of champion Japanese sire Deep Impact. This unraced filly is related to the likes of Domedriver, Freedonia and Polybius and is in foal to Fastnet Rock.

Lot 1354 Summer Dream is an Oasis Dream mare in foal to Raven’s Pass whilst lot 1355 Tantivy is by Giant’s Causeway in foal to Big Bad Bob. The latter is traces back to Party Doll and Titus Livius.

Mare Imbrium (lot 1356) is carrying to dual-Classic winner Camelot, whose yearlings have been well received this autumn. She is a daughter of Group 3 winner Sea Of Showers and a grand-daughter of multiple Group 1 winner Chimes of Freedom.

Lot 1360 Typique is a three-year-old filly by champion Galileo out of a Storm Cat mare in Denebola. Denebola was the champion 2yo filly in France and has bred Stakes winner Bolting. It is the family of Machiavellian and Coup De Genie.

The action gets underway at Goffs today at 10am.
